Morning Prayer
O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
O God, you are my God, I seek for you.
I thirst for you;
My flesh faints for you,
As in a dry weary land where no water is.
So have I looked upon you in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
Because you steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
Psalm 63
Night Prayer
May the all-powerful Lord grant us a restful nigh
and a peaceful death.
Protect us, Lord, as we stay awake;
Watch over us as we sleep,
That awake, we may keep watch with Christ,
And asleep, rest in his peace
Table Prayer
All the world hopes in you, O Lord,
that you will give us food in our hunger.
You open wide your hand and we are filled with good things.
Lord, the lover of life,
You feed the birds of the skies and array the lilies of the field.
We bless you for all your creatures and for the food we are about to receive.
We humbly pray that in your goodness you will provide for our brothers and sisters who are hungry.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Maker and Lover of Peace
Maker and lover of peace,
To know you is to live, and to serve you is to reign.
All our faith is in your saving help;
Protect us from people of violence
and keep us safe from weapons of hate.
Adapted from the Roman Missal
Here Am I, Lord
Here am I, Lord, I come to do your will.
I have waited, waited for the Lord,
And he stooped toward me and heard my cry.
And he put a new song into my mouth,
A hymn to our God.
Sacrifice or sin offering you wished not,
But ears open to obedience you gave me.
Holocausts or sin-offerings you sought not;
Then said I, “Behold I come.”
Psalm 40 – Second Sunday in Ordinary Time A
The Song of Simeon
Now let your servant go in peace,
According to your word.
My own eyes have seen the salvation
which you have prepared
in the sight of all peoples:
a light of revelation to the nations
and the glory of your people Israel
